Spotlight: Has finished second the last twice over 7f including at this track on most recent start (good); he was beaten by On A Session on that occasion but has a pull at the weights now; he is clearly in form and he is a likely contender here.
Spotlight: Won fast-ground handicaps over 1m at Cork and Navan last year; no luck in-running at Roscommon two starts back when behind a few of today's rivals; below his best last time at Cork but 2lb lower than last win.
Spotlight: Won a big field handicap at the Curragh in May (7f, good); posted another good run at Leopardstown most recently when a close second from an 8lb higher mark (7f, soft); raised 1lb for that but has won from a mark of 75 in the past so has a good chance.
Spotlight: Beat Dynamic Force by 0.5l at this C&D last time; timed his run to perfection to win on that occasion; he was officially rated in the mid-90s at one time and although time is catching up with him he is still capable from his current mark.
Spotlight: Lightly raced 4yo who won a maiden at Dundalk last October (7f); has been down the field in two starts this year; dropping down the handicap but others preferred.
Spotlight: Most recent win came at Gowran last summer from a mark of 81 (1m, good); runs this term have been okay and he is consistent; good claimer aboard and mark looks reasonable; first-time hood applied.
Spotlight: Roscommon maiden (7.5f, good to yielding) winner; did good work late after a sluggish start on Leopardstown return; built on that promise when winning a Cork apprentice handicap in May (1m, good); keeping on when 6.5l behind at the Curragh latest; possibilities.
Spotlight: Dual purpose performer has won twice on the Flat with last win coming in a heavy ground Leopardstown handicap in April last year (7f); had the best run over hurdles of his career last time at Ballinrobe when headed late on in to second (2m, good); his two runs over this distance this year have been positive; good chance.
Spotlight: Won a weak maiden at Galway last August (1m, soft); made seasonal return at Leopardstown two weeks ago where he was prominent but faded tamely up the straight; likely to improve from that run now dropped to 7f again for the first time since 2yo season; first-time tongue tie is applied.
Spotlight: Won twice for Marco Botti on AW at 1m; poor run on stable debut at Leopardstown eight days ago (1m1f, soft); has the ability but needs to come on from that run.
Spotlight: Overcame a slow start and trouble in running to beat a lot of these rivals at Roscommon last month including Dynamic Force who he relegated to second by a head; never featured at Leopardstown last time; has the form in the book against many of these so he is a contender.
Spotlight: Has won three times over this distance but bagged her first win over 1m in a handicap at Leopardstown on penultimate start (good); well beaten back at that track eight days ago; on a career high mark now.
Spotlight: Second reserve; no wins on turf following 14 starts but has won three times on the AW; best run for awhile came in a Leopardstown handicap last time when 2.75l behind the winner (7f, soft); was disappointing on only start at this venue in May (7f, good).
Spotlight: Won a Leopardstown handicap over 1m last July (good); 5lb higher than that win here and put in three lesser runs following that win last year; makes first run since last September and probably best watched on return.
Spotlight: Well beaten at Cork on seasonal reappearance but rider lost her irons and had little control so one to put a line through; six wins have come at around 1m on turf and AW; handicapper knows him well but generally runs a nice race.
Spotlight: Won twice over 1m for Johnny Murtagh as a 3yo in maiden and claiming company; hasn't cut much ice in handicap starts since then; cheekpieces would need to spark life into her.
Spotlight: Third reserve; winner of six races under rules and was a good third over this C&D in May when finishing just behind Dynamic Force despite missing the start; an okay run at the Curragh last time when eighth of 23.

A tricky handicap with many plausible winners. DYNAMIC FORCE was beaten by a head by Shoot To Kill at Roscommon before receiving a 0.5l defeat by On A Session over this C&D last time. He is selected to finally go one better and get his revenge on those rivals. [Denis Harney] Show less
