Spotlight: Consistent and progressive juvenile at up to 7f; her handicap debut at Goodwood (7f, good) last month got messy and she could otherwise have finished closer to clearcut winner Silver Ghost; breeding casts some doubts over today's longer trip but she shapes as though it will be within range; James Fanshawe doesn't run many at this meeting and they always command a second look.

Spotlight: Hit the woodwork in last season's novices at 6f/7f but was a strong favourite for last month's handicap debut at Kempton (7f) and had matters in hand up the straight to score with a degree of comfort; sire was a top sprinter but her dam won at 1m4f and today's stiffer stamina test should be easily within her range; others have achieved more but she's in the right hands to get better.

Spotlight: Has won 7f good-ground handicaps at top tracks in the style of a fast-improving filly, putting the race to bed last time at Goodwood in the blink of an eye; handicapper took a swipe with an 8lb rise but she's got her tail up and stretching to 1m could trigger further improvement.

Spotlight: This is a belated handicap debut on her 11th start but she's exposed now and, while there's been more than enough this year at up to 1m to confirm that this 5f 2yo Listed winner has trained on, it's easy to envisage a handful being more kindly treated.

Spotlight: Hooded the last twice; fulfilled the promise of her opening two runs with a narrow 1m2f maiden win at Newmarket (good; 13-8); that was ultimately hard work and she may have been coming to the end of her tether over that far; this stiff 1m might be just right and she brings plenty of potential into handicaps; 2lb well in.

Spotlight: Even-money winner of a 7f maiden at Doncaster (good to firm) and probably bumped into a smart filly next time at Leicester (1m, good to soft); still early days and, by Frankel and out of a Cheveley Park winner, she's bred to advance her current mark; respected.

Spotlight: This represents a marked rise in grade but she took what looked a competitive Haydock 7f handicap apart last month and a 5lb rise isn't the end of the world; dam won over this far; her yard won last year's Britannia with a similarly progressive type.

Spotlight: Handicap mark took a 12lb hit for finishing close up in a 1m2f Listed race at Goodwood last month (good) but she might have won that had it panned out differently (poorly positioned); surprising that she stays 1m2f given her pedigree, and this stiff 1m could be just the ticket; it's hard to know how far her current momentum might take her; considered.

Spotlight: A 6lb rise for winning so well at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) perhaps found her out when no match for Oolong Poobong at Haydock, but it could be she's now ready for this stiffer stamina test; needs to improve, mind.

Spotlight: Relinquished her unbeaten record in the Group 1 Fillies' Mile last October; impressive debut winner over 7f (sole run on fast ground) and evidently not short of speed, having coped well with 6f in the Group 3 Dick Poole at Salisbury (good to soft) next time; however, elements of her pedigree suggest she'll stay 1m and the potential is there to revert back to Group races sooner rather than later; could easily have the class to cope with her big weight on handicap debut; first-time blinkers suggest connections mean business.

Spotlight: Won a 1m Kempton maiden during the winter; raced freely that day in front and again didn't help herself when beaten 2l in a novice here (1m, good to firm) in April; she would not have got in off this low a mark had she run well in an intended Listed race this month, when withdrawn on account of soft ground; much respected with a talented claimer taking off 5lb.

Spotlight: 1m maiden winner on the AW; floored by a bigger-priced stablemate when penalised at Wolverhampton (8.6f) but the winner has impressed since and could be useful at least; well bred and possibly comes here under the radar on handicap debut.

Spotlight: Sister to high-class miler Dancing Gemini so bred to be better than this mark, and the potential is there after she won a 1m maiden at Gowran (good); has an Irish Oaks entry; worth a second look with cheekpieces joining the tongue-tie worn on last two outings.

Spotlight: Two minor wins last year before finishing a keeping-on fourth in 6f Group 2 at the Newmarket July meeting, where she raced away from those who beat her; reappeared in March when shaping with significant promise behind male opposition in a 7f Listed race on the Lingfield AW; her dam winning a 1m May Hill offers plenty of encouragement for this longer trip; interesting for last year's successful connections; first-time tongue-tie.

Spotlight: Both wins on fast ground and the two defeats (one in a Group 3) came in the mud; ridden patiently on her seasonal/handicap debut at Newmarket (1m) where she made up ground comfortably to edge out Saariselka; with the 5lb rise a small price to pay for that win, she's a possible.

Spotlight: All four runs on good ground; confined to Listed and Group 3 races since her winning debut in France (7f); never nearer than at the finish in the Group 3 Athasi Stakes at the Curragh on her return (1m; first-time tongue-tie) and two of the four ahead of her went on to make the frame in the Irish 1,000 Guineas; her Group-race potential commands respect in a handicap.

Spotlight: Won her maiden over 6f but upped to 7f/1m for this season's handicap runs and gave it a right good go on both occasions, latterly finishing upsides Ryka at Newmarket (good to firm) after moving strongly through the race; has edged up 5lb for those defeats but she wouldn't be the worst handicapped of these.

Spotlight: Third and first in 7f maidens last year; ran okay in a Listed race on her comeback (1m, good) but no more than that and there are possible stamina issues.

Spotlight: Looked quite nice in winning her AW novice (7f) but it's a big ask to win this given the way she ran in the Nell Gwyn, and that was two months ago.

Spotlight: Confined to 7f thus far; her debut win at Newmarket last year reads well (on good to soft) and she's held her own under penalties this season (AW/good), behind a progressive Beckett colt at Chepstow last time; fast ground is a grey area but she's a filly with upside now raised to 1m (pedigree bodes well).

Spotlight: Has kept a low profile this year in minor AW races (6f/7f) and never gave favourite backers any concerns last time in collecting by 3.5l; should stay 1m and there's no obvious reason why she won't be as effective on the grass, but this is a huge hike in class.

Spotlight: May need soft ground, conditions she enjoyed when winning a 1m novice last season and runner-up in a Group 2; had her first run on fast ground when a fader in a 1m Listed race at York last month and this won't be easy off a triple-digit mark.

Spotlight: 0-5 since debut win, albeit highly tried on occasions, and her last two efforts in the new cheekpieces were frustrating as she did not have the best of runs in a Curragh handicap (7f) or the valuable Gowran Classic (extended 1m1f); questionable how well handicapped she is but she could run well if getting a fair crack at it.

Spotlight: Dual winner but has made little impact in Listed/handicap company on her last two starts, going off 40-1 at Musselburgh two weeks ago; couldn't be entertained for this on the back of that run.

Spotlight: Dual Wolverhampton winner (8.6f, AW) but has come up well short in weaker handicaps than this; 3lb out of the weights as well.
